As you might be aware there has been several riders that have been
injured
at CCMX events or at moto Club.  I have received a large number of phone

calls from individuals wanting information on the healing process of
riders
who have sustained an injury while riding.

DUSTIN MACKIE
was involved in an accident on the 9-2-06.  During his accident, he was
found unconscious with what every one believed to be a serious head
injury.
He was transported to Marian Hospital and later air lifted to Cottage
Hospital in Santa Barbara.  Further evaluation revealed he had sustained
a
serious concussion with no broken bones.  The extent of the head injury
at
this time had not been revealed

9-3-06
Dustin's injuries were revealed to family and friends.  Dustin has minor

bleeding of the brain with no current swelling.  Neither of these items
at
this time appear to be a need for surgery.  A monitor has been placed on
the
skull to monitor pressure on the brain.  Levels have continued to stay
out
of the range to require any additional medical attention in this area.
Dustin continues to sleep and rest and is in a deep coma.

9-4-06
I was able to see Dustin for the first time today.  I will say Dustin
looks
great.  The swelling and bruising to his face appeared to have been
reduced
greatly.  As he slept, he appeared to react to noise in the room and
move
quite often to maximize comfort.  Tests were planning to be conducted to

further evaluated Dustin's healing.  At this time, those tests had not
been
conducted and was not able to pass any information forward.  Dustin
breaths
on his own and the monitor was removed his head removed.

The Mackie family appears healthy and strong.  The hospital visit has
bee
long and wearing for them all.  Many Family members and friends have
continued to call and send their prayers.  The Guynn family is taking
care
of the Carson and Wyatt and assisting with house hold chores.  The
Mackies
will be staying at a facility near by to stay close with Dustin.

***The Mackies belong to a big family in the motocross world.  They
appreciate and thank everyone for their loving support and ask all of
you to
keep Dustin in your prayers.  They have asked at this time to give them
some
time to deal with their crisis.  As things progress CCMX and Moto Club
will
announce Dustin progress and how we all can lend a hand.*****

9-5-06
Dustin is making great day to day process however tells us all he would
still like to rest for a little longer.  HIs movement increases day to
day.
He will be going through a series of tests on Wednesday.  We will
updated
you on the results.

9-6-06
Dustin was given an MRI today.  Test results confirmed the injury
sustained.
The healing process will tell what lies ahead. Dustin is making great
day
to day strides.

Dustin met with a physical therapist and responded well.  Once coming
out of
the coma a long  road of physical therapy awaits.

9-7-07
Today is encouraging, we had a long talk with barbara.   She was
informed of
all the support of those here at home are giving.  A ride for Dustin is
being planned at Moto Club.  This benefit event will help pay for food
and
lodging accommodations while staying with Dustin and any other hidden
insurance issues that lie ahead.  We hope all can come out and
participate.

Dustin remains in ICU with day to day progress being made.

1/24/07

Because he has been working so hard, Dustin was invited by the CNS staff to go "adaptive" skiing at Big Bear this past Monday.  He and Barbara spent the night up there Monday and had a great time.  It was an awesome break for Dustin and he worked hard with his therapists to be able to get up on a snowboard.  Barbara told me it was exhausting but great.  A wonderful break from his routine of therapies although they managed to work all his therapies in during the those two days.

ANTHONY NUNEZ- Anthony was involved in an bicycle accident while camping
at
round #5.  Anthony sustained a head injury and was admitted in the
hospital
for a couple of days.  Since his return home, he has gotten back to his
old
self, against the doctors orders!
While speaking with Anthony's father, Scott, it looks like Anthony will
make
a full recovery and will back to racing shortly.  The hardest thing for
the
Nunez family is keeping Anthony bolted to the floor as the doctor
ordered.
The nunez family thanks everyone for their support and looks forward to
seeing you all at the next race.
